Pamela, 87

Pamela and Tom, her exercise physiologist, first met at the Hunter’s Hill Lodge where Pamela had a short stay for respite and completed group exercise classes with Tom. Since returning home Pamela has completed
in-home sessions twice per week. These sessions have led to remarkable improvements in her physical health:

  • Hand Grip Strength: A 5% increase, enhancing

her ability to perform daily tasks.

  • Single Leg Balance: Improved from 2 to 7

seconds, indicating better stability and reduced
fall risk.

  • Timed Up and Go (TUG) Test: Reduced from

10 to 8.9 seconds, reflecting enhanced mobility
and agility.

  • 30-Second Sit to Stand Test: Increased 20%

from 10 to 12 repetitions, demonstrating
improved leg strength and endurance.
