Greg, 76

Greg, has been working with Stay Active since June 2025.

A passionate skier and sailor, Greg sought support from Stay Active after noticing shoulder pain and fatigue while sailing — concerns that followed previous surgeries on both wrists. He reached out for help in developing a safe and effective exercise program he could do at home, using the equipment he already had.

With the guidance of his Exercise Physiologist, Tom, Greg now follows a structured daily program integrated into his workday, along with a higher-intensity routine he completes independently. He also completes a weekly supervised session to ensure continued progress and support.

Thanks to Greg’s commitment and Stay Active’s guidance, he has made significant improvements in strength, balance, and flexibility. These gains have reduced discomfort and restored his confidence, enabling him to continue enjoying sailing, skiing, and an active lifestyle.

Key improvements include:

● Hand Grip Strength: Increased by 10%, enhancing his ability to sail effectively.

● Single Leg Balance: Progressed from basic single-leg stance to advanced balancing tasks, such as juggling on one leg.

● Timed Up and Go (TUG) Test: Maintained an excellent level of mobility.

● 30-Second Sit to Stand Test: Improved by 22%, increasing from 22 to 27 repetitions, reflecting stronger leg strength and endurance essential for sailing and skiing.
